There are many ways you can get a Public & Products Liability Insurance quote:
A Public Liability policy indemnifies an insured in respect of his or her legal liability to third parties for death, bodily injury, including illness and for any other loss or damage to property which happens in connection with the conduct of the business insured under the policy. The indemnity relates only to legal liability and not to any moral responsibility that the insured may have. Before the policy can operate, there must be an accident or event which results in death, injury, illness, loss or damage, and which places a liability on the insured. Legal Liability refers to all forms of liability, for example: negligence, nuisance, trespass, liability under statute or conduct and vicarious liability.
A Products Liability policy indemnifies an insured against potential lossess arising out of the defective nature of goods manufactured or supplied by his or her business. A Products Liability policy indemnifies an insured in respect of legal liability to third parties for death, bodily injury, including illness and for any loss of or damage to property caused by or through the sale or supply of any commodity, article or thing in connection with the business insured under the policy.
We all have a duty of care towards other people and property. If we negligently cause injury or damage to other persons or property then we can be held liable for the ensuing damages that may arise. As individuals, business owners and business operators you are accountable to third parties that come into contact with you or your business. These can include customers, employees, suppliers, contractors and general members of the public. If an accident occurs while you’re providing a service, a third party can sue your business, which can result in costly legal fees as well as the obligation to pay for the damage or injury you may have caused. Public & Products Liability insurance covers the costs of a claim, including third party legal fees and damages and your own legal fees.
The policy will normally cover the company, business or firm, including all it’s directors, officers and employees, whilst they are undertaking activities or services for and on behalf of the company.
